JOHN URNER
Architect John Francis Charlewood Turner was impressed by the rural people of Peru, who cobbled together their own housing networks without urban planning. He became a strong advocate for people self-building their communities, and worked with the United Nations to promote this in developing countries. He was 96 and picked by Alternative in Death – The Right Deadlihood Award.
