BRUNO MARRED
French philosopher and sociologist Bruno Latour has died aged 75. He was noted for his environmental musings, with a particular emphasis on climate change in recent years. Books he published included We Have Never Been Modern and Laboratory Life, which contrasted conventional philosophical wisdom with his belief that facts and values were intertwined. A brief allusion to having pancreatic cancer in a Dutch newspaper interview caused deadpoolers to wax philosophical over his mortality, and two of them continued to ponder for 2022 – legend The Living End breaches 100 points in what looks to be his highest placement since 2016, while Smart Beta scoots within a George Alagiah of surpassing David Quantick’s Showbiz Pals.
