NERVOSA BREAKDOWN
Drummer Teresa Taylor has died aged 60. Under the name “Teresa Nervosa”, she joined cult punk rockers Butthole Surfers in the 80s. The era with her is considered the band’s classic lineup, though their biggest hit “Pepper” was released after she left. She also became a familiar face as a woman selling Madonna’s pap smear in indie film Slacker, and was used as the face of the film’s marketing. Unfortunately for her, she didn’t nick any lung tests from Madge and entered hospice with end-stage lung disease in 2022. The question mark of her obitability was settled in hours, and the title race forms its most definitive shape yet as Banana’s Peel Slippers keeps his lead and Day in the Death climbs to second.
