ICED COFFEY
Comedy actress Denise Coffey has died aged 85. Remembered for her impish performances on stage and screen, she was the only female cast member of Python predecessor Do Not Adjust Your Set, a regular in various Stanley Baxter programmes, and appeared in 60s films such as Georgy Girl. To the side, she enjoyed fishing and playing the flute. She was a unique pick for theme Lost of the Lost, compiled of cast members of lost films on the BFI Most Wanted list. An appearance in Farewell Performance, a murder mystery B movie where the main point of cultural interest is performances by Joe Meek acts, qualified Coffey for the theme.
