CHARLIE AINTKEN
Footballer Charlie Aitken has died aged 81. The left-back was best known for his fifteen years with Aston Villa, where his 660 appearances remains a club record. He later played a year for the New York Cosmos, making him one of Pelé’s final teammates. He was picked by Midlands football theme team Waiting for Ugo.
