Fashion icon Iris Apfel has died aged 102. A longtime respected textiles designer with a philosophy of “more is more and less is a bore”, her clients included Greta Garbo, Esteé Lauder, and nine US presidents. Unmistakable with her large rimmed glasses and her eye-catching outfits, her popularity transferred into museum exhibits, Barbie dolls, and millions-strong followership on social media. She was still posing for Instagram selfies in recent weeks so her death comes as slightly surprising despite her mighty age. The DDP certainly applied the “more is more” creed with double digit Apfel pickers including Down Under Death Merchants and LL’s Pool.
