Tony Green

IN URN!

Darts commentator Tony Green has died aged 85. He was long one of the Beeb’s voices of darts, commentating alongside Sid Waddell for decades. However it was on the game show board of darts he landed his most lasting fame, memorably co-hosting Bullseye with Jim Bowen. As Bowen stock such as own “you can’t beat a bit of Bully!” and “look at what you could have won” became pop culture lexicon, Green proved his own worth in the catchphrase department with the likes of “One Hundred And Eighteeeee”. Only The Alternative Deathlist listened to Tony this year.
