William Clark

FEWER GOOD MEN

Battle of Britain pilot Flight Lt. William Clark has died shortly after his 101st birthday.  Clark flew several defensive raids during the famous air battle, and was awarded Distinguished Flying Order in 1941. His death leaves John Hemingway as the last living Battle of Britain pilot. Clark was picked by two teams in 2020, BANGELS and Crofty’s Coffin Crew.

On another note, three teams have passed the 100 hits all time threshold, a still rare achievement in the DDP. So rare in fact that we forgot to mention it in the spate of deaths at the end of April. So congratulations to Madonna’s Hand of Bod, Ethnic Cleansing and Wormer! He’s a Dead Man etc etc.
