BULL GETS THE HORN
Gargantuan character actor Richard Moll has died aged 80. He was best known as bailiff Nostradamus “Bull” Shannon on Night Court, an eccentrically gentle character who in the series finale was abducted by aliens who needed someone to reach their highest shelves. His height and deep voice lent well to fearsome characters, playing gangsters in Happy Days and Married… with Children and a vengeful zombie in horror film House. In But I’m a Cheerleader he played the good guy and helped gay youth escape a conversion therapy camp. His cartoon voiceover work was arguably his most reputed outside of Night Court, bringing to life comic book baddies like Two-Face in Batman: The Animated Series and Scorpion in Spider-Man: The Animated Series. DCAU Demises didn’t need to be a Nostradamus to guess that a 6′ 8″ (2.03 m) 80-year-old wasn’t long for this world.
