Charley Trippi

CURSE OF TRIPPI CAN DO

NFL Hall of Famer Charley Trippi has died aged 100. A star college player for the Georgia Bulldogs, he turned pro with the Chicago Cardinals, where he formed part of the “Million Dollar Backfield” critical to the team’s 1947 NFL Championship. Backfield in motion, I’m gonna have to penalize you, you-hoo. He was inducted into the the NFL Hall of Fame in 1968, and was its last surviving alum to be inducted for 1940s pro play. He may well prove an MVP for Gray Panthers, who extends his Theme Team League lead amidst a tight competition.
