Actress Arlene Dahl has died aged 96. One of the final surviving stars of the Classic Hollywood era, Dahl appeared in films such as Ambush, Watch the Birdie and Jamaica Run. Her popularity peaked in the 1950s, with roles opposite Bob Hope, theatre runs and a weekly beauty column. By the 1980s she was bankrupt but fought this by operating a premium astrology hotline. She was picked by three teams: Goodbyladies, Jane’s Antique Wrinklies and Moribold Karaktoa’s Playhour.
