Gudrun Ure was long respected for her Shakespearean roles, but it was mistakenly being hit by a magic ray that granted her pop culture immortality as Super Gran. As her mighty OAP fended off Scunner Campbell and other baddies with her super speed, she won the hearts of millions across 60 countries and claimed guest cameos ranging from George Best to Billy Connolly. She was 98 and comes to the rescue for ten teams, among them c. a. daver and Lard Bazaar.
