VOLKOV AND DIE
A nice pick, an ice pick… Mexican chemist Esteban Volkov, despite helping develop the birth control pill, would’ve struggled to QO in most circumstances. However, a historical connection boosted his odds. He was returning home from a seemingly ordinary school day in 1940 when coming home to witness his grandfather lying bloodied on the floor. Said grandfather was Leon Trotsky, gravely wounded from an ultimately fatal axe attack. Volkov dedicated much of the decades to come vocally defending his granddad, and founded the Leon Trotsky House Museum in 1990 at the site of Trotsky’s murder. He was 97, and instead of the points being divided evenly across all DDP comrades, Volkov was a solitary joker for Rolls Off The Tongue.
