Notable debuts include Mr C and The Vyrdolak. The showrunners notably hid the team selections to prevent people from stealing survivors from the top teams. Though a loss to DDP history, given multiple teams do exactly that nowadays maybe they were on to something!

Either way this was a cracking year. There may be 200+ hits these days but pound for pound, this was one of best years for the quality of hits. It was the first year to have two in one day. The final hit of the millennium, that of supercentenarian Sarah Knauss, was a hint of things to come as players start to wise up to the rules…
