DDP 1998

Lord Soper
In the stream-driven early days of the internet, there would be a patient wait for the right obit for some, such as Lord Soper.

More teams but less hits as the DDP starts taking its faltering first steps. For the first time, the title changes hands as Glaswegian Drunkasaskunk wins his first title…

This was the first DDP for regulars Finbarr Saunders, Mad Maureen, Juicy Janny, Dave J (later Dorset Jury) and the aforementioned Drunkasaskunk.

The King Tut of its deadpool era, this was the only 90s iteration to have an archived record of everyone’s picks. Big Iain still believed Tom Finney was dead at this point, however began to realise his mistake upon the football great getting knighted that very year.
