FINAL FURLONG FOR ZOE
Horse racing trainer Zoe Davison has died aged 60 after a battle with cancer. Part of a racing family, Davison had trained a number of winners in the past few years, including Brown Bullet. Perhaps apropos for this pick, she was originally turned down under the new rules before a stewards inquiry found her to be better known than presumed, with a whole host of non-health related championship stats supplied by the Racing Post. And indeed, the rush by QO to cover her death (including the BBC) within minutes of the announcement only backs that up. Davison was a unique hit for former DDP host and 4 time winner Spade Cooley AKA David Quantick’s Showbiz Pals. Should everyone else feel afraid?
