Richard Donner

BAD OMENS

Film director Richard Donner has died aged 91. The director helmed some of the biggest hits of the 1970s and 1980s, including Superman, The Omen, The Goonies, Scrooged and Lethal Weapon. An early CV note was directing the famous Twilight Zone episode Nightmare at 20, 000 Feet, in which a paranoid William Shatner is convinced he can see a monster on the wing of his airplane during a storm. Despite being sacked from Superman II, by insisting his Superman was played serious and “not camp”, he set up the template for the never ending conveyer line of superhero films this century.

He was picked by three teams: Hangmans XX, Where’s my Damn List, and ZZ Topped. No wooden spoon for you guys this time.
