Pat Martino

STARBRIGHT EXIT

Musician Pat Martino has died aged 77, after a long period of ill health. Martino was a jazz guitarist who worked with a variety of performers, before he suffered a near fatal seizure in 1980. Suffering amnesia, he had to teach himself from scratch how to play the guitar again, with no short term memory to remember it. Martino managed to release over a dozen new albums after this. He won the Jazz Legacy Award in 2016. He was picked by three teams: Plan B from Outer Space, The Whipping Posts (didn’t we just mention those guys?) and Salmon Mousse, who looks to be on the brink of their first DDP title.
