ABSTRACT DEATH
Artist Luchita Hurtado has died shortly before her 100th birthday. An abstract artist, Hurtado was little known outside Los Angeles until a bunch of her paintings were found in the estate of Lee Mullican. By 2019, she had been named by TIME magazine as on of the 100 most influential people. She was a unique pick for Gobbing on Life.
