SABAHDEAD
Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, a big name in Gulf politics, has died aged 91. The Emir of Kuwait since 2006, he established himself as a chief mediator in regional disputes, and hosted several UN meetings over the Yemen Civil War and other disputes. He also strove to improve humanitarian issues in the country, increased asylum for war refugees, and focused on reforming health care. He has died after a long period of ill health and some premature obituaries. He was picked by two theme teams, including former leaders Complications from a Fall.
