Eileen Ash

ASH TO ASHES

Cricketer Eileen Ash has died aged 110. Ash was a female cricketer for Middlesex during the 1930s, and played Test cricket after World War Two. A bowler, her fans included Don Bradman. She attributed her old age to her love of yoga. She was picked by 6 teams including Carkers Convention, Gray Panthers and One Century is Enough. Although we were confused momentarily as a former host had her filed under her maiden name and not the one she had been known for the last 80 years under.
