In a year where a 50something D. West with brain cancer could be pivotal to the title race, a more low-key one beats him to the punch. Baseball player David West debuted for the Mets before being traded to the Minnesota Twins, where he remained when the team won the 1991 World Series. Despite this taste of glory, he seemingly wasn’t too much of a player, at least if the length of his Wikipedia page (and the insight of a sagely Creep who knows far more about baseball than I do, tbf) is anything to go by. Nevertheless his death aged 57 marks another Yahoo coup for Reptile’s C Team.
