Clive Cussler

RAISE THE DIETANIC

Author of many ripping yarns, Clive Cussler, has died at the age of 88. Known for best seller Raise the Titanic, he sold 100 million copies of his novels. A film version of Raise The Titanic was a major flop, the studio later saying it would have been cheaper to lower the Atlantic Ocean. There were 25 books in the Dirk Pitt series, including Deep Six, Sahara and Arctic Drift. He also wrote several other enthralling action adventures, including The Chase, about the fight to stop a serial killer turned bank robber. Cussler’s work was specifically interested in vehicles used in the stories, with focus on boats, trains and Harley Davidson motorcycles among others.

Cussler was a unique pick for Bibliogryphon’s Bookworm Food.
