OLD MAN DIES
The oldest man in the world, Chitetsu Watanabe, has died. A Japanese farmer, he worked on sugarcane plants and was independent until the age of 108 when he caught the flu. He claimed his longevity was down to laughing lots and enjoying good food, which suggests Billy Connolly might be immortal. He lasted 11 days as Worlds Oldest Man, which now falls to Bob Weighton. Watanabe was 112 at age of death.
