Archduchess Yolande of Austria was the widow of Archduke Carl Ludwig of Austria, who himself was the son of last Austrian Emperor Charles I. She is the final person to be entombed in the Habsburg family’s Imperial Crypt, which has now reached maximum capacity. Beyond that there’s not much to say about her, and the UK press seemed to agree for several weeks. However in our first “drive-by QO” in some time, a Daily Mail article about her grandson’s wedding ferreted in a reference to her death at the very end. She was 100 and a rare hit for obscurities-baiter Not Gone Yet, But Still Forgotten.
