Surviving frontman of Stealers Wheel Joe Egan has died aged 77. After befriending Gerry Rafferty in their teens, the duo formed the folk rock group in 1972 and quickly struck gold with “Stuck in the Middle with You”. Rafferty’s presence with the group became on-and-off as he chased “Baker Street” glory (and the bottle), but Egan remained everpresent until their dissolution in 1975.
