Actor Stuart Whitman has died aged 92. Between early roles in The Day The Earth Stood Still and When Worlds Collide, and Night of the Lepus, he had a variety of cult films on his CV. He was the lead role and male love interest in the love triangle at the heart of Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines, and would be nominated for an Oscar for his role in The Mark. He was good friends with Deadpool favourite Peter Falk, and Terry-Thomas, for whom he raised money to help look after in his final days. He was a unique hit for Soylent Green is You, so be careful of those vegan burgers in the days ahead.
