Peter Alliss

RADIO SILENCE

Peter Alliss was certainly not a cricket commentator, of that we can all be assured. I’d like to thank those who pointed out that error in earlier drafts. Sports commentator Peter Alliss is out for 89 89 under par at the last bunker. A former golfer who won three British PGA Championships, Alliss went onto a broadcasting career as a commentator on the sport from 1961 onwards. Besides being the best known cricket golf commentator in the UK, he also taught Sean Connery how to play, for scenes in Goldfinger. (Yeah, tbh I should have twigged here…) He was picked by 5 teams, including Breathless in Seattle, Coffin Fit, and Grief Hijackers.
