Michael Constantine

MY BIG FAT GREEK WAKE

American actor Michael Constantine has died aged 94. Constantine was best known for playing the father of the bride, Gus, in My Big Fat Greek Wedding (and its sequel). However, he had a long TV and film career before that, and had won an Emmy for his role as Principal Kaufman in 70s comedy Room 222. Film roles included that of Big John in The Hustler, and Luis in Voyage of the Damned. On TV, he was the sheriff in I Am The Night Colour Me Black, one of the more preachier (and great) episodes of The Twilight Zone. He also appeared in The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Love Boat (the series not the DDP team), and yes, you guessed it, obligatory episodes of MacGuyver and Murder She Wrote!

He was picked by two teams, Captain Hemlock’s Twenty, and Obituarynotice.
