Julie Gibson

Referred to by some sources as “the oldest living celebrity” (an argument we’re not going to get into here) Julie Gibson no longer has a claim to the third of those words. She began her career in pre-war radio as a singer, before graduating on to the world of radio dramas and, subsequently, lower-budget movies. Her most notable roles were alongside the Three Stooges in Three Smart Saps and Sock-a-Bye Baby, and she was the last person to have a significant role in a Stooges flick to be still living. After her career wound down she worked as an accent coach on soap operas, then spent 50 years doing nothing other than occasionally getting interviewed by Three Stooges fanzines.
