French screenwriter and novelist Jean-Claude Carriere has died aged 89. He wrote the screenplay for The Unbearable Lightness of Being and That Obscure Object of Desire, both of which were nominated for the Oscar. He also wrote 70s French thriller The Outside Man, starring Jean-Louis Trintignant, whom you all expected to see a front page DDP obit for by now. He was a unique for Roasting Bodies in Redcar.
