Denise Bryer

Actress Denise Bryer has died aged 93. Bryer appeared in shows such as Maigret and was the voice of The Junk Lady in Bowie fantasy fest Labyrinth. She had a long connection with Gerry Anderson and kids TV, being one of the voice actors for Four Feather Falls, one of the Anderson puppet shows no one remembers because it was made before Thunderbirds. In the 80s, she worked with Anderson, to be the voice of the great villain Zelda in classic kids TV show Terrahawks. Denise Bryer was also the voice of the talking chicken in Return to Oz, which scared the living shit out of millions of kids. She was married to Nicholas Parsons (DDP alumni of 2020) for 35 years. Bryer was a unique pick for Grobler’s Stiff Ones.
