ONE SMALL FALL FOR MAN
Another of Grim’s uniques who tried to climb K2 in Winter has left us. Atanas Skatov was a vegan who claimed to have climbed Everest living a vegan lifestyle until it was announced he had eaten honey, and this was apparently a huge scandal in vegan mountaineering. He climbed ten of the highest summits in the world, but died during the K2 expedition when he fell to his death.
